My mother is a true REAL beauty she just finished radiation for breast cancer. 3 days after her first surgery the place that she worked at strictly for benefits up and canceled her insurance and didn't notify her. We found out 30 days later because we called the insurance company to see if her status had changed because the company refused to put her back on the schedule. She had a 2nd surgery before she found out this alarming news! She is a true survivor not only of Breast cancer but the cruelty imposed on people suffering from this horrible disease. My mother is the strongest person I know. Though at times she has privately felt defeated, beaten down, and worthless she has always managed to pick herself up, lift her chin up, and be an amazing role model to my children who adore her. She lost everything because of this illness-her place to live, her job, her livelihood, almost her car, she went weekly on just a few dollars to eat on and no gas in her gas tank to get to her other part time job. Yet her faith in God, daily affirmations, and willingness to help others has gotten her through this tough time. We are expecting the tides to turn soon and she will be victorious and a role model for others who suffer as well!
