flaws?

I posted this as a reply to a blog written by one of our members and thought it was thought provoking. I wanted to know your thoughts on the subject of "flaws":

"personally, i don't believe in what we call "flaws" or "imperfections." they are only known as those words because society has created this perfect ideal that we all THINK we should live up to. But in reality, that ideal is not very attainable at all. everyone has these so-called "flaws." so, if everyone has them, doesn't that make those flaws normal instead of imperfect? instead of calling them flaws, how about we call them "unique traits?"

I love this Elizabeth. Great commentary. i completely agree. i think that our flaws are what define our glorious uniqueness and our brilliance. our "flaws" are what separate us from everyone else and make us a true individual. I agree that we should stop calling our "unique traits" flaws. maybe we should call them our "brilliance!"

Gilda Radner calls it our "glorious uniqueness".
